Upendra Trivedi (Birth: 14 July, 1936 - Died: 4 January, 2015) Was a well-known Gujarati film and drama actor, director, producer.

Upendra Trivedi was born on 14 July 1936. His family hailed from Kukdia village near Eider. Upendra Trivedi received his Bachelor of Arts degree from 'Bombay University'.
Upendra Trivedi, who is considered to be a well-known actor in the Gujarati film industry, acted in both Gujarati films and plays. During his college life in Mumbai, Upendra Trivedi acted in many plays. He started his career in the film world in 1970 and remained in this career for 40 consecutive years.
Upendra Trivedi got his first big break in Gujarati films in the Ravindra Dave directed film Jaisal Toral. He also directed some Gujarati films. His 'Manavini Bhavai' is a National Award-winning film based on the novel of the same name by Gujarati writer Pannalal Patel. He also produced and directed a film of the same name based on Manubhai Pancholi's novel 'Zher To Pidhan Jani Jani'. The duo of Upendra Trivedi and Snehalta gave many successful Gujarati films in the 70s and 80s.
Political Career: In 1980, Upendra Trivedi was elected from the Bhiloda seat of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly and joined politics. He served as Deputy Speaker of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly from March 31, 2000 to July 19, 2002. He also served as the Chairman of 'Gujarati Film Corporation'.
Upendra Trivedi died on January 4, 2015 in Mumbai.
