Neeta Ramaiah is a Gujarati poet, children's literature writer and translator.
Neeta Ramaiah was born on 14 July 1941 at Morbi, Gujarat. He completed his matriculation in 1957. In 1960, he did BA in English. and MA in 1962. He completed his studies from 1962 to 1966 at MGSM, Mumbai. Taught at College, Matunga. He is the Canadian Studies Centre, S.N.D.T. Also worked as Director of Women's University. and also served as Emeritus Professor.
Sahitya Sarjan : She is a feminist poet, her poetry collection 'Dakhla Kesha Shri' was published. Her poems also reflect the sentiments of women as well as a confident voice demanding equality and justice. His other collections of poetry include 'Shabdne Raste', 'Te Jalpradesh Hai', 'Iran Desh', 'Rang Daryo Ji Re', 'Mari Hatheli Mein', 'Jasudna Phool'.
He has also contributed to children's literature. 'Dhamachkadi' and 'Khil Khil Khil Turuk Turuk' are his children's poetry collections. 'Tane Parniye Podhadoon' is his collection of songs. 'Lalkunwarni Kukre Cook' is a children's story.
He published translations of some poems of Canadian poet Margaret Atwood under the 'Poetry Series' in 1991. 'The Page Waits' is his translation of Canadian poems. His translations include 'Canadian Shadkhand India Travel', 'Strisukta' (Marathi Poems), 'Shakespeare's Speaking Characters', 'A Stranger in My Boat' (story), 'Cultural Pulse of Iran : Persian Sayings'. etc. are his other works.
