Digish Nanubhai Mehta (12 July 1934 – 13 June 2001) was a Gujarati essayist, novelist and critic. He was born on 12 July 1934 in Patan. He completed his primary-secondary education in Siddhapur. BA in 1953 with English-Psychology subjects. and MA from the University of Leeds in 1968. completed He was a professor of English at Bhashasahitya Bhawan, Gujarat University. In 1963
He was married to Smita and had two daughters. Sarjan: 'Apano Ghadik Sang' is an experimental short version of his comedy style. 'Doorna A Soor' is a collection of personal and poetic essays by Digish Mehta. 'Paridhi' is an epitome of critical scholarship. He has written a miniature book called 'Shrimad Rajchandra' in English.
He retired in 1994 and died on 13 June 2001 at Ahmedabad.
