In pursuance of the above subject, as per the resolution of the concerned Education Department, the scheme of Chief Minister Gyan Sadhana Merit Scholarship Scheme (for standard-9 to 12) has been released for 25000 bright students of Gujarat state. Under this scheme, the Chief Minister Shri Gyan Sadhana Scholarship Examination for the academic year-2025-26 will be held by the State Examination Board on 29/03/2025.
In which (a) those who have studied Class-1 to 8 in Government or Granted schools and are currently studying Class-8 and (b) the weaker sections of 6 to 14 years of age as per RTE ACT-2009 and the Right to Free and Compulsory Education of Children Rules 2012 framed thereunder And under the provision of free education to underprivileged group children in independent schools to the extent of 25% of the class size, students who have studied consecutively from class-1 to class-8 in self-supporting schools and who are currently studying in class-8 can appear for this merit scholarship exam.

It is advised to inform about the examination. The detailed announcement of this exam will be published on the board website http://www.sebexam.org. Further PDF files of annual and midterm question papers of (CGMS) taken in the last two (2) years are placed on the website of the State Examination Board http://www.sebexam.org for the convenience of the students. It is further to be mentioned that, like last year, the educational video for the students of CM Gyan Sadhana Merit Scholarship Examination (CGMS) to be held next year will be telecasted on the below channel through the Baiseg network by the studio of Vidya Vysya Kendra, (VSK). Benefits of Chief Minister Gnanasadha Merit Scholarship (CGMS) Exam Preparation:-
> 25000 bright students (for standard-9 to 12 studies) getting merit in this examination will get the benefit of scholarship.
> All the children of class-8 will also prepare for this examination, so they will also progress academically and achieve subject-wise learning outcomes.
> Preparation for this exam will prepare them for the competitive exam.
> Will be able to take the board exam with confidence in future.
> HOT (Higher Order Thinking) type questions will enhance students' reasoning ability.

A different type of organization is expected to be organized with the support of the District Education and Training Bhavan of your district.
The structure of this exam will be as follows.
This exam will be of multiple choice format and different objective format (MCQ Based). The question paper of this exam will be of 120 marks and the duration will be 150 minutes. The medium of examination will be Gujarati/English.
The exam will have the following subjects and marks.

(1) MAT Intellectual Aptitude Test - 40. - 40
(2) SAT Academic Aptitude Test. - 80. - 80
Syllabus:
> 40 questions of MAT Mental Aptitude Test will be of verbal and non-verbal logical reasoning. These questions will have topic based questions on Analogy, Classification, Numerical Series, Pattern Perception, Hidden Figure.
> The 80 questions of SAT Academic Aptitude Test will include Maths-20 marks, Science-20 marks and Social Science-15 marks, English-10 marks, Gujarati-10, Hindi-5 marks subject of Class-8.
> The syllabus of class-8 will be of the above subject.

શ્રીમાન,
ઉપરોક્ત વિષયના અનુસંધાને જણાવવાનું કે, સંદર્ભના શિક્ષણ વિભાગના ઠરાવ અન્વયે ગુજરાત રાજયના 25000 તેજસ્વી વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે મુખ્યમંત્રી જ્ઞાન સાધના મેરીટ સ્કોલરશીપ યોજના (ધોરણ-૯ થી ૧૨ માટે)ની યોજના બહાર પાડેલ છે. આ યોજના અંતર્ગત શૈક્ષણિક વર્ષ-૨૦૨૫-૨૬ માટે મુખ્યમંત્રીશ્રી જ્ઞાન સાધના સ્કોલરશીપ પરીક્ષા રાજય પરીક્ષા બોર્ડ દ્વારા તા.૨૯/૦૩/૨૦૨૫ના રોજ યોજાનાર છે.
જેમાં (અ) ધોરણ-૧ થી ૮નો અભ્યાસ સરકારી કે ગ્રાન્ટેડ શાળાઓમાં કરેલ હોય અને હાલ ધોરણ-૮નો અભ્યાસ કરતા તેમજ (બ) RTE ACT -2009 તેમજ તે હેઠળ રચાયેલા બાળકોના મફત અને ફરજિયાત શિક્ષણનો અધિકાર નિયમો ૨૦૧૨ અન્વયે ૬ થી ૧૪ વર્ષના નબળા વર્ગોના અને વંચિત જૂથના બાળકોને સ્વનિર્ભર શાળાઓમાં વર્ગની સંખ્યાના ૨૫%ની મર્યાદામાં મફત શિક્ષણની જોગવાઈ હેઠળ સ્વનિર્ભર શાળાઓમાં ધોરણ-૧માં પ્રવેશ મેળવી ધોરણ-૮સુધીનો સળંગ અભ્યાસ કરનાર વિદ્યાર્થી જે હાલ ધોરણ-૮માં અભ્યાસ કરે છે તેવા વિદ્યાર્થી આ મેરીટ સ્કોલરશીપ પરીક્ષા આપી શકશે.

વધુમાં જણાવવાનું કે, આગામી વર્ષે લેવાનાર મુખ્યમંત્રી જ્ઞાન સાધના મેરીટ સ્કોલરશીપ પરીક્ષા (CGMS) ધોરણ-૮ના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે ગત્ વર્ષની જેમ શૈક્ષણિક વિડીયોનું પ્રસારણ વિદ્યા સમીક્ષા કેન્દ્ર, (VSK) ના સ્ટુડિયો દ્વારા બાયસેગ નેટવર્કના માધ્યમથી નીચેની ચેનલ પર પ્રસારણ કરવામાં આવશે. જેની તારીખ અને સમયની જાણ અલાયદી કરવામાં આવશે.

મુખ્યમંત્રી જ્ઞાનસાધના મેરીટ સ્કોલરશીપ (CGMS) પરીક્ષાની પૂર્વતૈયારીથી થનાર ફાયદાઓ:-
> આ પરીક્ષામાં મેરીટમાં આવતા ૨૫૦૦૦ તેજસ્વી વિદ્યાર્થીઓને (ધોરણ-૯ થી ૧૨ અભ્યાસ માટે) સ્કોલરશીપનો લાભ મળશે.
> ધોરણ-૮ના તમામ બાળકો પણ આ પરીક્ષાની તૈયારી કરશે તેથી તેમની પણ શૈક્ષણિક પ્રગતિ થશે અને વિષયવાઈઝ લર્નિંગ આઉટકમ એચિવ કરશે.

> HOT (હાયર ઓર્ડર થીકીંગ) પ્રકારના પ્રશ્નો વિદ્યાર્થીઓની તાર્કિક ક્ષમતામાં વધારો કરશે.
આપને વિનંતી છે કે દરેક શાળાના આચાર્યશ્રીઓ, શિક્ષકમિત્રોના પ્રયત્નોથી વધારેમાં વધારે વિદ્યાર્થીઓ જોડાય તે સુનિશ્ચિત કરશો.
આપના જિલ્લાના જિલ્લા શિક્ષણ અને તાલીમ ભવનનો સહયોગ લઈ એક અલગ પ્રકારનું આયોજન થાય તે અપેક્ષિત છે.
આ પરીક્ષાનું માળખું નીચે મુજબ રહેશે.
આ પરીક્ષા બહુવિકલ્પ સ્વરૂપની અને વિવિધ હેતુલક્ષી સ્વરૂપની (MCQ Based) રહેશે. આ પરીક્ષાનું પ્રશ્નપત્ર ૧૨૦ ગુણનું તથા સમય ૧૫૦ મિનિટનો રહેશે. પરીક્ષાનું માધ્યમ ગુજરાતી/અંગ્રેજી ભાષામાં રહેશે.
પરીક્ષામાં નીચે મુજબના વિષય તથા ગુણભાર રહેશે.

અભ્યાસક્રમ:
> MAT બૌધ્ધિક યોગ્યતા કસોટીના ૪૦ પ્રશ્નો શાબ્દીક અને અશાબ્દીક તાર્કીક ગણતરીના રહેશે. આ પ્રશ્નોમાં સાદ્રશ્ય (Analogy), વર્ગીકરણ (Classification), સંખ્યાત્મક શ્રેણી (Numerical Series), પેર્ટન (Pattern Perception), છુપાયેલી આકૃતિ (Hidden Figure) વિષય આધારિત પ્રશ્નો રહેશે.
> SAT શૈક્ષણિક યોગ્યતા કસોટીના ૮૦ પ્રશ્નોમાં ધોરણ-૮ ના ગણિત-૨૦ ગુણ, વિજ્ઞાન-૨૦ ગુણ અને સામાજિક વિજ્ઞાન-૧૫ ગુણ, અંગ્રેજી-૧૦ ગુણ, ગુજરાતી-૧૦, હિન્દી-૫ ગુણ વિષયનો સમાવેશ થશે.
