Karsandas Moolji (Born: July 25, 1832 - Died: August 28, 1875) was a nineteenth-century Gujarati journalist, writer and social reformer.
Karsandas Moolji was born on July 25, 1832 in Mumbai in a wealthy business family. His family originally hailed from Saurashtra. Karasandas studied up to secondary level. He became a local school teacher and started a Gujarati weekly called Satyaprakash in 1855.
He visited England in 1863. In 1867, he traveled to England for the second time. In 1874, he was appointed as the administrator of Kathiawar.
Karsandas Mulji has written Nitivachana, Kutumamitra, Nimbadhamala, Tour of England, Dictionary etc. Mahipatram Rupram Neelkanth wrote the biography of Karsandas Moolji in 1877 as Uttam Kapol Karsandas Moolji Charitra.
He died on August 28, 1875.
A library named after him, Karasandas Mulji Municipal Library, was established in 1897 in Matheran, Maharashtra.
